Kitten

Today, I chose to let the young cat, Babushka, "help" me make the bed instead of shooing her out of the room.  As she chased fluttering sheets and hid under the blanket to pounce out at me, I found myself smiling and laughing at her antics.  Then she followed me into the bathroom to protect me from the vicious shower curtain.  Joy instead efficiency.  I'll take it.

Today, I choose to look for the small joys in my life, to be grateful for them, and to be in some measure, a small joy in the lives of others.  I choose to look upward and outward.
